Charlotte Lyons, also known as Lottie is the Deputy Chairman Political (DCP) and is responsible for leading on campaigning, political engagement and grassroots organisation across the constituency. A lifelong Conservative, even spending her 40th birthday at a Conservative event, she is committed to promoting the values of personal responsibility, localism, and economic sustainability within the community. Charlotte has successfully campaigned for the election and re-election of local MPs, City Councillors, District Councillors and the Essex Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex.
She read Economics, receiving a 2.1 with honours and brings a clear, analytical perspective to local policy and planning issues. Her professional experience as an Account Director in a leading communications agency complements her political work, equipping her with the skills to shape strategy, connect with residents and deliver effective messaging.
Charlotte is Vice Chair of Sandon Parish Council and has been a vocal figure in the campaign opposing the proposed huge residential and commercial developments at Hammonds Farm. She has worked tirelessly and very closely with other local Councillors, residents, and community groups to highlight the risks posed by overdevelopment and urban sprawl and to advocate for planning that respects the local environment and infrastructure.
Driven, principled and deeply involved in the area she serves, Charlotte is focused on strengthening the Conservative presence locally and ensuring the Party remains firmly rooted in the communities it represents.
