It was a warm and sunny evening and a thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all with wine from the Missing Gate vineyard at an event held last Friday organised by the Little Baddow, Danbury and Sandon Conservatives branch. Members from across the Maldon Constituency Conservatives Association and nearby Associations enjoyed delicious canapés served throughout the evening along with a delightful range of white, red and rosé wines from Missing Gate vineyard.
A guided tour of the vineyards was not only interesting but highlighted the beautiful location and stunning Essex countryside, known as the “salt-marsh stretch of Essex”. The auction held on the night included prizes such as one week stay at a beach hut on the Essex coast and a case of Missing Gate wine. Guests very much enjoyed the speeches from the Rt Hon Sir John Whittingdale OBE MP, Essex County Councillor John Spence CBE, Chair of Little Baddow Parish Council and Chair of the No To Hammonds Farm working group Peter Irvine and Chair of the Little Baddow, Danbury and Sandon Conservatives Caroline Ogden. Thank you to those who organised the event and the guests too, a memorable and lovely evening with more events in the constituency to be held soon.
