Having lived in the town for 36 years and as a well respected and well known member of the Maldon community, I am now standing as the Conservative District Councillor candidate for the Maldon West Ward by election taking place on Thursday 29th May 2025.
My dedication to the local community has already involved me being Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chair of the Finance Committee and involved with Maldon In Bloom for six years. I am the owner of a successful and established local restaurant and a dedicated campaigner on behalf of local residents, I have been part of the Town Council for ten years and a great supporter preserving Maldon's ancient buildings including the Moot Hall and Plume Library. I have been a member of Maldon's Christmas Fayre for over seven years.
I am very passionate about the local community and if elected will continue to work hard and represent the issues and address the concerns of all of the Maldon West residents. I serve on the EALC (Essex Association of Local Councils) as the Maldon District Representative and I am a Trustee of the Leech Memorial Garden and the Joseph Unwin Charitable Trust.
I will continue advocating for the needs of local residents whilst pushing for improvements that benefit us all and strengthening the voice of Maldon in the Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).
I would be honoured to have your vote.
